I also like projects where I get to weave a replica of the original fabric. Such projects can be, for example, woven vintage clothing fabrics, woven upholstery fabrics for vintage cars and other upholstery fabrics.

In the adjacent video, you can see how the chair designed by Pauli Blomstedt for Merivaara Oy in the 1930s gets a new life. I wove the backrest fabric according to the original upholstery fabric. The upholstery for the chair was made by Verhoomo Vanha Juttu.
