Duo AhoKettu

Duo AhoKettu

Jenni Ahonen & Sari Kettunen

Duo AhoKettu is an extensive exploration at the intersection of ceramic and textile expression by Finnish artists Jenni Ahonen and Sari Kettunen. The project aims to create works where materials do not merely exist as separate elements but form structurally and visually intertwined pieces.

At the core of this collaboration is deep material research and a shared appreciation for slow artistic processes. By merging their expertise, Ahonen and Kettunen create a new kind of “slow aesthetic” that visualizes the passage of time, memories, and the cycles of nature. In these works, ceramics seek softness and organic movement, while textiles pursue form, weight, and structural integrity.

Jenni Ahonen – A ceramic artist whose practice examines the temporal layers of the environment and organic forms, mirroring them against the complexities of humanity.

Sari Kettunen – A textile artist who uses weaving and embroidery to explore landscapes of both nature and the mind, filtering life experiences into textile form.

About collaboration

Duo AhoKettu grew out of a collaboration and material experimentation started in 2025, which first produced the joint piece Maan nivelet (2026). Their current goal is to deepen this collaborative process into more extensive bodies of work.
