The piece is inspired by the folk tale The Frog Prince.
I have handwoven it using traditional floorloom and natural materials. The artwork depicts a princess sitting by the water, looking sorrowful. Beneath the surface of the water, we see the reflection of a valuable ball she has just carelessly dropped. I’m fascinated by the symbolism in fairy tales and how these old stories carry emotions and meanings that can always be reinterpreted.
The piece is entirely plastic-free. It includes integrated acoustic elements that improve the sound quality of a space. In testing, they received absorption class B (ISO 354:2003, EN ISO 11654:1997).
